In "Siren: Blood Curse", the creators return to their roots, giving us the opportunity to revisit the cursed village of Hanuda once again.

The game takes place in August 2007. It all begins with a group of American journalists arriving in an abandoned Japanese village to film a program about mysterious rituals that took place there many years ago.

But suddenly, in the middle of the night, the television crew witnesses a real sacrifice ritual performed by some religious cult! Even though everyone was sure that the village had long been abandoned and no one lived there anymore.

The reality quickly turns into a nightmare where logic has no power. Blood begins to rain from the sky. People go mad, turning into Shibito monsters. And all the roads leading out of Hanuda are suddenly blocked...

Key Features of the Game

Remake and Reimagining
To some extent the game is a remake of Forbidden Siren 1, but the story has been heavily altered. Therefore, it retains intrigue and unpredictability even for those who have already completed the first "Siren".

New Characters
"Blood Curse" features seven new playable characters. Each has their own traits and abilities that influence the gameplay. Some wield firearms, others must rely solely on melee weapons, and the little girl Bella is only capable of running and hiding.

Clash of Different Cultures
An unusual feature of the game is that some of the characters are American, while others are Japanese. They speak different languages and sometimes even struggle to understand each other. Also, the game itself stylistically blends the traditions of Japanese and Western horror.

Evolution of the Sight-Jack System

We'll once again be able to experience strange visions that allow us to see the world through the eyes of monsters. But now the "Sight-Jack" system is more polished. In previous games, we were completely paralyzed during visions—but here we can move and escape from our enemies.

Improved Combat
One of the main problems with Forbidden Siren 1 was its awkward combat mechanics. But in the new game, the battle system has been completely redesigned, making it more dynamic and engaging.

More Weapons

The game boasts an absolutely insane number of weapons—over 50 different types. Knives, axes, crowbars, sickles, revolvers, hammers, scalpels, shotguns, shovels, and even guitars can be used as weapons. No other survival horror game has offered such a wide range of self-defense tools.

Killing the Undying Monsters
As before, we'll be haunted by Shibito monsters that constantly resurrect after death. But now the game sometimes does offer us the opportunities to dispatch them for good using special weapons. And violent finishing moves called "Executions" have also been added.

Video and Audio Archives

In Forbidden Siren 1, archive items only had text descriptions. But now the developers have gone further, adding video clips and audio recordings. However, the new game has fewer archive files—only 50 instead of 100.

New Level of Graphics
Because the game was released on more powerful hardware, its graphics greatly surpass the original FS1. At the time of its release, Siren Blood Curse was the most beautiful horror game in terms of graphics.
