In 2006, a Siren movie premiered in Japan. It is partly based on the scenario of Forbidden Siren 2, and the story also takes place on Yamijima Island. However, the film does not repeat the events of the game. Instead, it tells a new story with different characters.

Story
The film's main character is a young woman named Yuki Amamoto, who arrives with her father and younger brother on the small Japanese island of Yamijima.
But soon she learns that the island has a dark and terrifying past: in 1976, in just one night, the inhabitants of Yamijima mysteriously disappeared, and the sole survivor committed suicide.
What was the reason for these events?
And what is the meaning of the island residents' strange rule that prohibits leaving the house if the sound of the Siren is heard?

English Translation
The movie was officially released only in Japan. But there are subtitles with English translation (in the ".srt" format).
Also, I made a Russian translation for the movie in 2007.

In addition to the movie itself, a novelization book based on it was also released in Japan.
Rumor has it that the novel has a completely different ending.
Rumor has it that the novel has a completely different ending.
In 2013, there was an attempt to translate the novel into English. But unfortunately, the translation project was abandoned halfway through. So we'll probably never see the new ending.
